Ready, Set, Woof!
Are you ready to get started?
Why Do We Categorize Dogs
At Liberty Bark, we see each dog as unique, with their own personality and needs. We strive to provide personalized care and individualized attention in a group setting, and our First Day Assessments are the key to achieving this.
During your dog’s First Day Assessment with us, their behavior is evaluated, accommodations are determined, and a temperament level is assigned.
Instead of turning dogs away that need extra help, we expect all dogs might have some challenging behaviors. This helps us create a safe and calm space for everyone. Friendly dogs build social skills and get mental stimulation, while tricky dogs get the support and guidance they need. Plus, it promotes transparency and lets us track progress.
Temperament Levels Explained
A dog's temperament level is the categorization that determines the type and amount of care they require based on their personality and traits. Temperament Levels are used for booking your reservations. The level not only determines your dog’s playgroups, but also indicates any additional personalized care plans for your dog.
We categorize dogs based on their temperament to ensure personalized care. Our assessment process helps us understand each dog’s needs and behaviors, ensuring they are placed in the appropriate group settings for their safety and comfort.
Levels can change at any time due to various factors (attendance, genetics, environmental factors , etc.), and our owners are promptly informed of any changes made. All dogs participate in our daily routine and are a part of our social groups, and rest periods.
Other services may be added-on at your request based on level status.
Daycare & Boarding Requirements
1. Dogs must show proof of vaccination and be up to date on shots for their age.
- Puppies 6-8 weeks: Distemper, Parvovirus, Bordetella
- Puppies 8-12 weeks: DHPP (Distemper, adenovirus, parainfluenza, parvovirus), Bordetella, Heartworm Preventative (recommended).

3. We require a *FECAL ANALYSIS TEST* for all dogs coming into our daycare. Results must show that they are negative for parasites, and worms. Analysis must be done within 3 months before their first day at daycare.
4. We also require a *GIARDIA ANTIGEN TEST* for all dogs coming into our daycare. The GIARDIA ANTIGEN TEST must be specifically requested from your vet.
We have a partnership with Canine Lab Testing that runs the Fecal Analysis Test and the Giardia Antigen Test at the same time. They can process samples the same day with results available within 24 hours. Samples must be dropped off at our facility at a designated time with prior notice.
5. While we do not require a temperament test to determine if your dog is accepted into the facility, we do require a first day assessment to determine your dog’s needs while they are with us.
