Mental Enrichment offers short, purposeful 15–20 minute training and enrichment sessions during your dog’s daycare or boarding stay. These sessions are designed to provide mental stimulation, reinforce useful skills, and support confidence and handling—all in a low-pressure, enjoyable format.

Sessions are intentionally brief and typically happen during kennel or nap hours, making them a perfect add-on to keep your dog mentally engaged without overwhelming their day.

How Mental Enrichment Works

Mental Enrichment is available every day based on staff availability and is appropriate for dogs of all ages, breeds, and experience levels. Sessions are 15–20 minutes long and usually take place between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM during quieter kennel hours.

Activities are selected based on your dog’s individual needs, energy level, and experience. Whether your dog is a puppy learning basic skills, an adult maintaining their training, or a dog working through specific challenges, we’ll tailor each session to what will benefit them most.

Where Sessions Take Place

Most Mental Enrichment sessions are completed within our facility, but neighborhood walks may be included if they’re appropriate and safe for your dog. Location selection is based on your dog’s readiness, safety, and what best supports their training goals.

Trainer Assignment

Trainer assignment is based on staff availability, and all sessions are completed by trained staff members approved for enrichment work. While you may not choose a specific trainer for Mental Enrichment, rest assured that every team member is experienced and knowledgeable in delivering effective, positive training sessions.

What You’ll Receive

After each Mental Enrichment session, we’ll post a 30-second video update to our private Training Facebook Group. These videos highlight what we worked on and how your dog engaged with the activity. You’ll be invited to join the group so you can follow your dog’s progress over time.

Who Mental Enrichment is Perfect For

Because sessions are brief and low-pressure, Mental Enrichment is open to all dogs, regardless of temperament or experience level.

Add It to Your Dog’s Stay

Mental Enrichment is an add-on service, which means it’s not automatically included in daycare or boarding reservations. Spots for sessions are limited and based on daily availability, so we recommend booking early to secure your dog’s session.

Sessions are typically completed during kennel or nap hours, so they won’t interfere with your dog’s social time or rest schedule. It’s a simple, effective way to make sure your dog’s day is both fun and enriching.

Keep Your Dog Learning, Growing, and Engaged

Mental Enrichment is all about supporting your dog’s mental well-being in short, meaningful bursts. Whether they’re learning something new or practicing skills they already know, these sessions help keep your dog sharp, confident, and happy.
