Kind of! We do Tours of the Facility; these are 30-minute appointments where you come in, and we chat and give you a quick overview of the facility from our loft. We’re happy to answer any questions and discuss any concerns you have.

Tours of the Facility are scheduled through our customer portal. You must be a registered client and have signed the agreements. The customer portal will show you our calendar’s availability for Tours.

We require all dogs to be assessed on their first day at our facility. Ideally, this takes place before any overnight stay through our Structured Daycare | First Day Assessment ($65). This allows us to evaluate your dog’s needs and determine how to best support their comfort, safety, and happiness in our environment.

If an advance visit isn’t possible, we offer a Boarding | First Day Assessment ($85), conducted on the day your dog begins boarding.

Each First Day Assessment includes a detailed report card featuring a behavioral assessment with professional insights on your dog’s body language, play style, communication signals, social skills, and overall temperament. You’ll also receive trainer recommendations, a photo update (“pupdate”), and observations to help you better understand your dog’s experience.

The day includes a guided introduction to our space, staff, and daily schedule—featuring structured socialization groups and a full day of supervised care. This thorough process allows us to determine your dog’s appropriate lodging accommodations and temperament-based level status.

Please note: Boarding First Day Assessments are priced higher to encourage early visits. Dogs typically have a smoother boarding experience when they’ve had a chance to build familiarity through daycare before staying overnight.

No, we do not have cameras accessible for our clients to view. You can, however, add on pup-dates and/or report cards to reservation for a small fee and we’re happy to show you how your dog is doing in our facility. The pupdates and report cards are free only on your dog’s first day in the facility. After that, they are an added on service, and must be purchased through the customer portal. You can text us at: (844) 357-0138 to get these added on.

Immunization

We have to review your documents and approve them before the system will accept your records. It takes 6-8 hours for us to review the documents, and most of our documents are reviewed from 11 am-1pm.

A fecal test is like a urinalysis, except it’s for poop! Results indicate whether or not the dogs have any parasites or worms; these tests can be parasite-specific, and because of Utah’s climate, we require the added-on Giardia-specific test because we are looking for Giardia which is a bug that can make dogs sick and is easy to pass onto others.

Fecals are required for daycare and boarding reservations. Grooming one-on-one appointments do not require fecal tests because the dogs are only here for their appointment and then go home.

We recommend people go to their vet to get a fecal test, but if they cannot, we recommend they use Canine Lab Testing through us

    • Tests with Canine Lab Testings cost $85, and they process the samples within 12-24 hours, and they send us the results directly.
    • Fecal samples must be dropped off at our facility with prior notice. There is a specific date/time the carrier picks up the sample.
    • You must have a fresh poop sample (within 2 hours of pooping), place it in a baggie or container, and label it with
    • Owner Name
    • Owner’s Phone Number
    • Dog’s Name

Please beware that if your dog tests are positive for anything we will not be able to accept your dog with us until treatment with your vet is complete and with another negative fecal test.

We require documentation that shows the Rabies Manufacturer, Rabies Serial or Lot Number, and your vet’s DVM number; this information is generally found on your dog’s Rabies Certificate. Check to see if you’ve uploaded your Rabies Certificate and not just your invoice or an Immunization Reminder Record from your veterinarian.

Salt Lake County animal services requires all dog daycare and boarding facilities in the area to have a 6-month booster between their annual injection. Check your vaccination record to ensure your dog’s Bordetella vaccination has been administered within the last 6 months.

Reservation

No, we do not. All appointments must be booked in advance. If you have a last-minute emergency, please reach out to our customer portal number (844) 357-0138.

Please bring a collar, leash, and food in an airtight container. Please ensure the food container is labeled with the pups’ first and last name and feeding instructions. To keep everything sanitary and prevent loss or damage, we have stopped accepting personal beds and blankets. We have plenty of bedding for the pups and will ensure everyone is nice and comfy for their stay!

A $50 non-refundable deposit is required for boarding during peak-season reservations; these are dates when we’re expecting to be busy, and need to ensure we’re able to accommodate all dogs who really need our services; This deposit is paid at the time of booking. If a reservation is canceled, it is kept as store credit for future use. If it is not during peak season, then a deposit will not be required.

You can create a place-holder reservation for your dog by filling out the following forms.

Remember that your records must be submitted 72 hours before your reservation on your reservation will be canceled.

Not usually, any outside-of-hours drop off or pick up has to be approved by our staff. If it is not, there’s a fee involved.

We have specific drop-off and pick-up times because of how our facility is structured. Since we are a training-based facility, we have specific times for all of our services; this helps all of our dogs become accustomed to the routine and feel safer because their day is more predictable.

  • Drop-offs for daycare and boarding are:
    • 7 am-8:45am.
  • Pick-ups for daycare and boarding are
    • 4 pm-6:45pm.

Everything that we do at Liberty Bark is centered around the well-being of the dogs. We require morning drop-offs so that the dogs can get their wiggles out, entirely rest, and settle down for the evening and nap

Unfortunately, we do not quarantine or isolate dogs. We specialize in socializing difficult dogs, and we help teach them social skills. We work with friendly and reactive/aggressive dogs and don’t turn dogs down. We are used to seeing complex dogs in social settings or with strangers, and we love seeing dogs progress while they’re with us!

Invoicing

We charge the card on file at the end of your reservation. If you have packages, the package will be applied during check-out so that you may receive an estimate for the invoice, but it will not include package credits.

  • A peak date is when we expect to be relatively full and require extra staffing for support. A modifier is an additional charge that is incurred in your invoice; these can be:
    • Thurs – Sun Night Boarding Extra Charge (we tend to be busier on weekends)
    • Peak Date Charge
    • Extended Daycare
    • And others…
  • If you have any questions regarding your invoice, please contact our customer portal number: (844)-357-0138.
